Food Waste in America

Consider your grocery budget…would you throw half of that money away?  Well, most of America does just that.  Acording to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Americans throw away 40% of their food.  That’s about 20 lbs of food per person per month!  Click on the link to see what the consequences of that waste are and how you can make the most of your money and your food.  And check out this post on TreeHugger to see how the government used to discourage food waste.
